At launch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will feature 30+ operators split across several factions — JC, Guild, J-SOCK, and the Zombies crew. Some characters are available immediately when you start the game, while others require you to reach specific player levels or own the Vault Edition for early access.

Players can unlock operators through campaign progression, multiplayer leveling, or special promotions such as Monster Energy and Little Caesars collaborations.

Operators Available Immediately

A number of core characters are unlocked as soon as you launch the game. These include:

50/50 (JC) – Available instantly
Mason (JC) – Unlocked immediately
Samuels (JC) – Instantly available
Zaryi (Guild) – Free and unlocked at launch
Carver, Gray, Maya, Weaver (Zombies) – Unlocked immediately

Fans of the Zombies storyline will be thrilled to see the return of Dempsey, Richtofen, Nikolai, and Teo, all playable from day one with updated, storyline-based variants.

Level-Based Operator Unlocks

Several operators require players to reach specific levels to access them:

Grim (Level 7) – A tech expert born in the age of AI
Falconer (Level 13) – Unlocked through player progression
Wayin (Level 19) – A skilled medic and fan favorite
Razer (Level 28) – Former security contractor turned operative
Vermac (Level 34) – A key character featured in BO7 artwork
Emma Kagan (Level 50) – CEO of the Guild faction

Leveling up across any mode — campaign, zombies, or multiplayer — contributes to these unlocks thanks to cross-progression.

Vault Edition Exclusive Operators

Players who purchased the Black Ops 7 Vault Edition will gain early access to several exclusive operators, including:

Harper
Karma
Reaper (BO3 War Robot)
Ted (AI Transport Bot)

While these may become available in later seasons via bundles or events, the Vault Edition offers immediate access at launch.

Special Promotions and Bonus Operators

Outside of in-game progression, several promotional events offer unique operator skins:

Little Caesars Collaboration – Exclusive themed operator rewards
Monster Energy Promotion – Two limited-edition operators
Mullen Milk Partnership – Unlocks a special bonus operator

Looking Ahead: Future Operator Updates

The Season 1 update is expected to introduce additional operators through the Battle Pass, themed around the campaign and post-launch storylines. Characters like Harper, Karma, and even Menendez (seen in trailers) are rumored to return in future content drops.

With Black Ops 7, Treyarch continues to expand operator storytelling, offering each character a background, faction identity, and unique role across multiplayer, campaign, and zombies!
